HISTORY
| 1940 | The first Archer symbol appeared in the Green & White publication. |
| 1942 | The Japanese Army occupied the campus and the college building, leaving only the south wing to the Brothers. |
| 1943 | De La Salle High school classes during the war (World War II) were transferred to St. Scholastica’s College. |
| 1944 | Students who attended high school during the war (World War II) were graduated. |
| 1945 | Forty-one (41) Christian Brothers and civilians were brutally slaughtered at De La Salle College on 12 February. |
Br. Lucian Athanasius FSC was named as DLSC President. He would serve the post until1950. |

| In December 1945 - July 1946, Br. Antony Ferdinand FSC served as Acting DLSC President while Br. Lucian Athanasius recuperated in the United States. | |
| 1946 | The College of Commerce reopened and, for the first time, offered a four-year course. |
| 1947 | The undergraduate School of Engineering was established. |
| The Varsity NCAA Basketball Team won its first postwar trophy. | |
| 1948 | A batch of 140 students graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Commerce, the first since 1941. |
